Welcome to Aiming High for Disabled Children in
Bradford
Aiming High for Disabled Children,
launched in May 2007, is the Government’s
transformation programme for disabled children’s
services in England.
The vision behind Aiming High for Disabled Children
is:
‘for all families with disabled children to have the
support they need to live ordinary family lives, as
a matter of course.’
Bradford has been chosen as both a ‘pathfinder’ for
short breaks and ‘pilot’ for childcare and will thus
take part in a first wave of local authorities
aiming to transform services for disabled a children
and their families between 2008–11.
